Can Forum 2022

  • September 12, 2022

Great couple of days in Canberra attending Can Forum 2022 organised by Rare Cancers Australia and Canteen Australia.

The theme for this years forum was: What is the value of a life? This introduced the Counting the Cost Report: The true value of investing in cancer treatment’.

Karen Middleton, award winning political journalist from “The Saturday Paper”, did a wonderful job as MC and also shared her own experience with Neuroendocrine cancer earlier this year. As she said she was one of the lucky ones as it was found early. Her article can be found here

We took this time to meet with our new government including Federal Health Minister Mark Butler, and joined our cancer patient organisation colleagues in discussing patient navigation and the National Cancer Plan.

Thank you to Lynda Dunstone and David Lockwood for representing our Neuroendocrine Cancer patients.
