Neuroendocrine Cancer Australia’s “Champions of early diagnosis and a cure”
The Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival is back for 2022 and a determined group of employees from Bild Group & Fleet Plant Hire are joining forces to make a difference as they run a half marathon!!
Tyson, Nash, Jesse, Adam, Steve, Max, Monir, Ash and Shaun will make their way through the city streets, passing iconic Melbourne landmarks before finishing with a lap of honor around the MCG’s hallowed turf.
Whether they make the finish line (which we know they will) or beat a time they may have set as a goal, the biggest focus for this team is to raise much-needed awareness and funds for the very special charity Neuroendocrine Cancer Australia.
One of the participants has a very personal motivator for this run, Shaun Twentyman, from Fleet Plant Hire, sadly lost his beautiful mother to Neuroendocrine Cancer in January of this year.
Shaun’s mum, Elizabeth was diagnosed in October 2018, but as with a lot of cases, the disease went undiagnosed for too long.
Neuroendocrine Cancer Australia not only does great work supporting patients and supporting research but they are also champions in raising awareness and knowledge of Neuroendocrine tumors within the medical community and the general public.
