Hello Hills community,
Four years ago, my mother was diagnosed with a stage 4 NeuroEndocrine Tumour (NETs). This is a rare and often misdiagnosed type of cancer. Over the years NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia, a not-for-profit medical charity, has supported my mother and our family during this challenging time with information and support networks often run by volunteers.
In support of my mother and individuals suffering from NETs, my friends and I would like to raise money and awareness for this rare type of cancer that has severely impacted my family.
To do so, we intend to hold a fundraiser day at Eastern Fleurieu R-12 School in Strathalbyn. The fundraiser will include student volunteers participating in waxing, shaving heads, a car wash and a sponge throw at willing teachers (we have lots). Donations will not only mean a lot to me and my family but will also support NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia’s efforts to raise awareness and funds for research into Neuroendocrine Cancers.
I thank you in advance for your support and contribution.
