Caley Schnaid

Specialist Neuroendocrine Cancer Dietitian

Caley is an Accredited Practising Dietitian in Australia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2002 and moved to the United Kingdom a year later.

Caley started working at the Royal Free Hospital (London), which is a Neuroendocrine Cancer Centre of Excellence, in 2008 as Clinical Specialist Dietitian in Neuroendocrine Tumours (Neuroendocrine Cancer) and Oncology, where her interest in working with Neuroendocrine Cancer patients began. She gained invaluable experience working within the multidisciplinary Neuroendocrine Cancer team for almost 5 years. During this time she also worked on the oncology inpatient ward, as well as the chemotherapy and radiotherapy suites.

Caley is currently in private practice on the North Shore of Sydney. She works alongside Neuroendocrine Cancer-specialist doctors and continues to see patients with all types of cancers.

Caley has presented at national and international conferences and patient support groups about Nutrition for Neuroendocrine Tumours. She has volunteered for NECA since arriving in Australia in 2012, developing nutrition resources for Neuroendocrine Cancer patients and giving educational talks to both patients and health professionals. Caley is very passionate about educating patients and other health professionals with regards to the importance of nutrition and management of bowel problems for patients with neuroendocrine tumours.
