Advocate for better outcomes in neuroendocrine cancer
Neuroendocrine cancer is the 7th most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, yet many people face long delays to diagnosis and unequal access to care.
NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia advocates across a range of priorities to improve outcomes, including access /to diagnosis, treatment, specialist care and support services.
While we continue to advocate across a range of priorities, we welcome your support on advocacy around the following key priority:
Secure ongoing funding for specialist support services
NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia’s Specialist Support Services, including access to NET specialist nurses, provide essential support to people navigating a complex and often delayed diagnosis.
These services are currently funded until 2027. Without long-term funding, patients risk losing access to care they rely on.
We are calling on the Australian Government to:
- Provide long-term, sustainable funding for Specialist Support Services beyond 2027
- Ensure all Australians with neuroendocrine cancer can access specialist nurse support, no matter where they live
