More than 200 people attended March4NETs events across the country this year, doubling last years efforts. We are thrilled to see the strength and connection of the Neuroendocrine Cancer community at each and every local event.
These events are about connecting face to face, raising awareness, and raising much-needed funds to support NET patients and services. We thank everyone who has registered to fundraise and everyone who has donated with all contributions going 100% to support NET patients and services, making a real difference in their care and support.
We are incredibly grateful to our national sponsor, Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG), the founding sponsor of March4NETs, whose support has made these events possible for the third year running. Their commitment is helping us raise awareness, strengthen our voice, and ensure patients are seen, heard, and supported wherever they live.

Melbourne - Sunday March 1
Events kicked off in Melbourne, where our wonderful patients and supporters turned out on a humid morning full of warmth and connection. It was fantastic to meet new patients and reconnect with familiar faces, each with their own story and reason for showing up.
A special thank you to volunteer facilitator Brad McKenzie for helping bring the day together, and to local MP David Southwick for taking the time to stop by and show his support for the NET community.
We are also incredibly grateful to Bradley Ryan Photography for generously volunteering his time and skills to capture the spirit of the day.
Bunbury – Tuesday March 3
Bunbury hosted an extra special support group gathering, led by the wonderful Margaret Powell. It was fabulous to have new patients attend and all present shared a meaningful day over a delicious lunch, highlighting the importance of peer support in navigating a complex and often misunderstood cancer.
The day also attracted coverage from Channel 7, South Western Times and ABC Radio, helping bring much needed awareness of neuroendocrine cancer to the broader community. Huge thanks to Christine Jones for sharing her story with the media and to Tammy our NECA nurse in WA. Thanks also to South West Cancer Council for hosting this event, and all our Bunbury support groups at Dots place.
Launceston – Saturday 7 March
Our NET Nurse Isobel hosted a wonderful event with the help of Philippa Morgan (NECA Board member).
We are grateful to Senator Wendy Askew and Jess Teesdale MP for attending and recognising the importance of improving awareness and outcomes for people living with neuroendocrine cancer.Â
The event was also covered by Channel 7 interviewing Philippa Morgan and Isobel, both raising awareness of neuroendocrine cancer and Isobel’s role in Tasmania supporting patients.

Perth – Sunday 8 March
Perth event was held in the beautiful Kings Park, nestled among the stunning Western Australian native gardens. They were fortunate to have a cooler day, with lovely shade from the gum trees. The timing of the walk was perfect, accompanied by a refreshing sea breeze and sausages ready on arrival. It was wonderful to see so many families come out to support our amazing patients and volunteers. It looked like the playground was lots of fun for the kids. We were delighted to welcome new patients and reconnect with familiar faces.
A heartfelt thank you to WA Senator Fatima Payman for attending—we look forward to your continued support for Western Australians living with NETs.

Brisbane – Sunday 8 March
Brisbane did not let the rain dampen spirits, with the incredible Dee Clarke hosting an uplifting day and spreading joy to all. With raffle prizes, delicious food, a BBQ and even a walk splashing through puddles, the Brisbane crew embraced the day with positivity and fun.
There was a great turn out of patients, friends and family, a crowd of 45 people braved the rain to support Dee and March4NETs.Â
We are incredibly grateful to Dee and all the organisation that went in to creating such a well thought out day. Thank you to NET Counsellor and CAG representative Amanda, CAG representative Therese Townsend and the vivacious Arch to Arc fundraiser Shane Kent for throwing their support behind the day.
