The Nurses’ Workshop, sponsored by Telix, was a conference highlight. Meredith Cummins began with an Acknowledgement of Country, followed by updates from Simone Leyden on Telix’s current projects and pipeline.
Speakers included:
- Rajeev Nalamvelil (ANSTO) – Overview of isotope production
- Tammy (NECA NET Nurse) – Nursing and Theranostics
- Jess Mercurio (Queen Elizabeth Hospital, SA) – Safe administration and management of radiopharmaceutical extravasations
Due to limited time, presentations from A/Prof Gabby Cehic and Dr Rahul Solanki and a Q&A session were missed, but the workshop was still highly valuable.
Gratitude is extended to Simone Leyden AM for organising sponsorship of the workshop and lunch briefing, which included updates on neuroendocrine cancer research.
The workshop provided practical, evidence-based knowledge for nurses, fostering connections among professionals in similar fields. The recorded presentations from A/Prof Cehic and Dr Rahul Solanki are anticipated.
