Calling WA residents to sign a petition to improve NET patient outcomes

NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia supports our WA NET patients who are requesting the WA state government to recognise the many current unmet needs in patient care. Alongside resources put to a statewide nurse care coordinator with a focus on NETs, patients are asking that Fiona Stanley Hospital be recognised as the specialist referral centre for the state.

It is widely acknowledged that optimal patient care and the best outcomes for NET patients is achieved by referral to a multi-disciplined team (MDT) of specialists, to consider the best treatment pathways.

Specialist centres that can co-ordinate these MDTs and provide access to the latest treatments, technologies and clinical trials ensure that every NET patient, despite their location gets access to optimal care.

WA NET patients are therefore asking the WA government to  mandate that Fiona Stanley Hospital be recognised as a NET “centre of excellence” and state referral hospital for Neuroendocrine Tumors.

If you live in the state of Western Australia please print up the below and get as many signatures as possible.

The aim is to present this petition to the Legislative Council on World NET Cancer Day , November 10.

Thank you to all for your support, and to our patients and WA CAG member for their dedication and hard work.
