The Australian Cancer Nurse Navigation Program (ACNNP) organised a roundtable on Thursday 20 March & Friday 21 March 2025 in Melbourne. The attendees were part of the Governance working groups, patient organisations and priority population groups. It was a fabulous opportunity for everyone to meet to hear the Department of Health and Aged Care updates, presentations by Cancer Australia and the ACNNP nursing streams by Mcgrath & Ethicol.
NACCHO presented the activities under the NACCHO program. Cancer Council spoke of the work being done in the Navigation stream of ACNNP. Several Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) who have received funding presented the work they are now doing.
Day 2 commenced with reflections of the work presented the previous day and enabled input from all present to ensure the patients needs are being met by the ACNNP program. Following this there were sessions by Priority Population groups including Mental Health and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD).
The collaboration has been amazing and it is wonderful that NECA is one of the NGOs to have received funding for Specialist Support Services and active member of 2 working groups.
