Breast Neuroendocrine Cancer
Overview
Neuroendocrine cancer of the breast is a rare subtype of breast cancer and will often present like other breast cancers, with symptoms such as a breast lump, changes in breast shape or skin, nipple changes, or, or dimpling of the skin.Â
The choice of treatment options for neuroendocrine breast cancer will depend on several factors, including the type, location, and size of your cancer, as well as whether and where it has spread. Treatment can be chemotherapy dependent on the type of neuroendocrine cancer cells – grade & stage, with the added possibility of targeted therapy (PRRT) in cases where the tumour has somatostatin receptors, targeted molecular therapy and radiotherapy.
