David is a medical oncologist with a subspecialty interest in NETs. His PhD on PET scans as biomarkers in NENs was awarded in 2020, and he has been continuously supported by research funding since. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, more than 50 concerning NETs, and received more than $5 million AUD in peer-reviewed funding as a chief investigator. He serves as the chair of the NET group of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (2019-) and co-leads the NET centre of excellence based at Royal North Shore Hospital, Australia.
