NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia are delighted to announce a new donor partnership.

  • January 23, 2024

NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) are delighted to announce a new donor partnership, allowing us to add an additional full-time specialist NET Nurse to our team.

NECA is thrilled to share the wonderful news of a new and impactful donor partnership. We are overjoyed to announce that this week marks the commencement of the first full-time NET Nurse for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia, Dana Hart, based out of Brisbane.

This significant milestone has been made possible through the generosity of an anonymous NET patient who is committed to supporting individuals affected by NeuroEndocrine Tumours (NET) across Australia.

While we continue our advocacy efforts urging the government for five full-time NET Nurses, we are beyond thrilled to announce that, thanks to the generosity of this particular donor, we have effectively doubled our NET Nursing team support services for 2024.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to this donor for their invaluable support. Their commitment will undoubtedly make a profound impact on the lives of NET patients and their families. The funding for this role could not come at a better time, with patient enquiries surging 100% since implementing the NET Awareness Campaign.

The new NET Nurse, Dana Hart joins our dynamic NET Nurse team, including part-time NET Nurses Joyce and Cristelle, and is eager to contribute to working with and caring for the NET community across Australia.

It is important to highlight that NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia’s Nurse support is wholly funded by donations and private grants. For inquiries regarding this partnership or to discuss contributing your own legacy gift, please reach out to our Partnerships Manager, Adie Williams, at adie@neuroendocrine.org.au.

We encourage you to please reach out to our NET Nurse team today, with more   resources than ever before  – we can now support more patients, more often!
