Webinar 4 – Current drug treatments in NETs and what for the future?

A/Prof Michael of Peter Mac in Melbourne has been a leading clinician in NETs for many years and is the Co-chair of Neuroendocrine Unit at Peter Mac. Currently there are a wide range of treatments for NETs that vary depend on each individual patient.

The information about which treatment and in which order it is given is often overwhelming when first diagnosed with a NET tumor. The journey is often long, and sometimes feels experimental but how clinicans use each treatment available is based on experience, trials and each individual. The webinar will run for 1 hour and some of the topics included are:

  • Somatostatin Analogues
  • Wait and Watch
  • Chemotherapy
  • Immunotherapy
  • Future trials?
  • If you have a specific question you would like to ask please send to netnurse@neuroendocrine.org.au prior to the webinar and we will endevour to get it answered.
