Webinar 3 – NETs Under the Microscope

Ever wondered what the grading of a NET Tumor really means? How will it affect treatment and outcomes?

The information about the pathology of a tumor may be overwhelming when first diagnosed with a NET tumor, however, it is probably the most important piece of information as far as understanding the nature of the disease. Prof Anthony Gill, Professor of Surgical Pathology at Royal North Shore has kindly accepted our invitation to try and shine a light on what the results mean. The webinar will run for 1 hour and some of the topics included are:

  • Overview of pathology of NETs
  • The different tests, Chromogranin (CgA), 5-HIAA urine test, biopsy, what do they all do?
  • What does Ki67 mean?
  • Grading of tumors – how important is it?
