Help us raise vital funds on NET Cancer Day.

November 10 is NET Cancer Day. A day dedicated to raising awareness of neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) and its symptoms around the world.

There are currently over 25,550 Australians living with neuroendocrine cancer, there is no cure, limited government support and incidence are on the rise.

Donate Today

Every 90 minutes another Australian is diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer.

Despite being more prominent than ovarian and brain cancer NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia receives no assistance from the government to fund much-needed patient support.

As the 7th most diagnosed cancer, one Australian is diagnosed every 90 minutes. Help provide much needed support to Australians living with NETs.

All donations made over $2 are tax deductible.

"Being told you have an incurable cancer is a big moment to process… "

Sandi Smyth, NET Patient

In 2022, Sandi was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroendocrine cancer after a very sudden onset of symptoms that included abdominal pain, cramping, vomiting and sweating.

Stories similar to Sandi’s are common. With vague symptoms, many neuroendocrine cancer patients can wait over 5 years before receiving a correct diagnosis.

The impact that this diagnosis has had on Sandi and her family is immeasurable.

Thankfully, Sandi found NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) soon after her diagnosis and has found great comfort in the support and care that we have provided to her and her family.

“NECA is an organisation that punches well above its weight… they are so committed in their advocacy and commitment to making life better for us” Sandi Smyth.

Why Donate?

Neuroendocrine cancer is a complex and challenging disease, and it often goes undiagnosed for many years. It affects over 25,550 Australians, and the true extent of its impact is only beginning to be understood. Your donation can make a significant difference by:

Support

Funding critical research efforts to find more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for neuroendocrine cancer.

Research

Providing resources, information, and emotional support to those living with NETs and their loved ones.

Awareness

Educating the public, healthcare professionals, and policymakers about the unique challenges faced by NET patients.

Every dollar donated to this page will help support patients diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer.

What NET Patients have to say about NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia.

The NET Nurses' incredible knowledge of Neuroendocrine cancer along with her compassionate manner got me through mentally after being diagnosed by providing direction and advice.

My husband was diagnosed with NETs in Dubai. After being introduced to the fantastic NECA website, I reached out to NECA as our first point of call. They virtually held my hand as we made forward arrangements to meet with oncologists in Australia.

I have nothing but praise for NECA. The wonderful support we get from the NET Nurse and the rest of the team is precious, it is my go to place for information and education re: NETS.

We finally had somewhere that we could get up to date information and talk to someone for advice and reassurance. NECA are a small group that work tirelessly to educate the medical community and general public in the early diagnosis of Neuroendocrine Cancer.
