NECA Canberra NET Patient Forum, Saturday, 16 May 2026

The NECA Canberra NET Patient Forum was held during the conference with 16 attendees joining. Presentations from Dr. Ankit Jain, Dr. Natalia Kolareva, and CNC Catherine Trevakis provided valuable updates on treatments and cancer services. Meredith Cummins shared a NECA update, which was highly appreciated.

The forum brought together patients, carers, families, and health professionals. The presentations covered diagnostic and treatment pathways for various stages and types of neuroendocrine cancers, sparking lively and informative discussions.

The session was interactive, addressing challenges such as:

  • Stress of waiting for results
  • Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT)
  • Managing treatment side effects

Participants expressed gratitude for NECA’s ongoing support, with feedback highlighting the session’s informative and supportive nature.
