Chronic Disease Management Summit

The Chronic Disease Management Summit was held at Royal Randwick on Tuesday 22 November and 23 November 2022. Our CEO Meredith Cummins was invited to be part of a panel discussion.

Dr Megan Robertson, Group Chief Research Officer, St Vincent’s Health Australia

Professor Craig Anderson, Director, Global Brain Health, The George Institute for Global Health

Meredith Cummins, Chief Executive Officer, NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia

PANEL | Optimising chronic care & management opportunities with clinical trials

  • overview of clinical trials in Australian/ NZ in the chronic disease space
  • ‘care advantage’ of participating in trials
  • recommending changes to the way clinicians engage with patients to introduce clinical trials and what tools are available

This was an excellent opportunity to increase awareness of NETs and advances in treatments, discuss current clinical trials, dispel the myth that clinical trials are only really used when nothing else is available and most of all ensuring Quality of Life is optimised, monitored and measured to improve outcomes.
