On 29th October, Neil and Libby Robertson from WA hosted a hugely successful Open Home Garden day which raised over $4,000 for the Unicorn Foundation. The sun was shining brightly on the day and their magnificent garden was enjoyed by over 300 gardening enthusiasts.
Neil and Libby both average around 4-6 hours each day pursuing their love of gardening and their efforts truly show with the spectacular display. Unbelievably their garden is only five years old and their hard work, care and dedication has paid huge dividends.
Neil was diagnosed with NETs in 2014 after first being told he had mesothelioma. He is still undergoing treatment however thoroughly enjoyed the Open Garden Day knowing that all the money collected was going to the Unicorn Foundation to help with research and support. He was also justifiably proud to see so many people visit and enjoy the fruits of his labour.
