UF – Consumer Advisory Group (CAG)

At the start of 2016 we put a call out for volunteers to join our newly developed Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) and we were overwhelmed by the calibre of responses.

The CAG, made up of 13 people from around the country, has now met via teleconference three times and discussed a range of topics that affect NET Cancer patients. The group has divided itself into four main working groups; Awareness, Resources, Advocacy/Lobbying and Research.

The current topics we are working through include:

Awareness  – NET Cancer Day November “Let’s Talk About NETs” campaign

ResourcesMEN brochure, revision of current UF pamphlet, App development

Advocacy/ Lobbying – Federal Government Grant, PET reimbursement (Medicare Benefits Scheme review)

Research – Evaluation of grant applications

The Unicorn Foundation would like to thank this incredible group of people for their dedication and essential input and we look forward to our workshop on November 6 in Melbourne.
