Unicorn Foundation Meets With Private Healthcare Australia

The Unicorn Foundation was thankful to Dr Michael Armitage, CEO of Private Healthcare Australia for hosting a group of consumer/patient representatives in Canberra at the start of July, and for engaging in real discussion on bettering patient outcomes (and expenses).

Some of the topics covered were:

  • applying minimum quality, safety and data submission requirements on healthcare providers;
  • providing patients with the tools to make a fully informed decision when choosing their healthcare providers; and
  • providing patients with more, improved tools to better manage their own health, with support as necessary.

The Unicorn Foundation was grateful to be involved and we hope it is the start of more open dialogue in the future.
