Wellness Day 2022

  • March 1, 2022

NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia, alongside more than 15 other patient organisations, is a proud partner of Wellness Day 2022.

We are urging companies to join us in providing your team with the gift of time to focus on their health and wellness.

We encourage all work places to set a date (or time frame) for your own office Wellness Day and grant staff the gift of time to encourage the community to prioritise their health and wellbeing by completing a health check. It may be anything from an hour or two to half a day, or even in office checks.

In March 2021 Cancer Council Vic estimated that in Victoria alone 2,500 cancer diagnoses slipped through the COVID-19 cracks. Wellness Day is an initiative inspired to make up for health checks missed during COVID-19 lock downs by gifting staff the time to do so, outside of their regular annual leave entitlements.

Businesses and individuals can get involved in Wellness Day in several ways, from gifting additional leave to their staff so they can arrange appointments, through to arranging in-office skin checks through to visiting a Pharmacy or General Practitioner for a health check. For more information on how your business can partner with WellnessDay 2022 please contact info@neuroendocrine.org.au

This year companies are able to support  and partner with NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia.

In addition to potentially saving lives, your employer is able to pledge a lump sum, or (ie) donate $5 to NECA for each staff member to undergo a health check.

We encourage all staff who have completed a health check to post their #GetChecked message on social media to spread the word and encourage others in the community to do the same.

We know that on average, Neuroendocrine Cancer patients wait 5+ years to be diagnosed. We know earlier diagnosis saves lives. Please take part and #GetChecked today if you have on going health symptoms.

Social tiles, posters and more detailed information can be found by clicking the link below.
