Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent NET Patient Forum in Adelaide, held on Monday 16 June at Flinders University. It was an evening of connection, learning, and support for those living with neuroendocrine cancer, their families, and loved ones.

We are deeply grateful to our speakers for sharing their knowledge and time:

  • Associate Professor Gabrielle Cehic spoke about Advanced Cancer Care in South Australia incorporating the Australian Cancer plan and the SA Comprehensive Cancer Network
  • Dr Rebekah Chew for insights into Carcinoid Syndrome, Carcinoid Heart Disease, treating Carcinoid Syndrome and Pancreatic Exocrine Insufficiency.
  • Dr Rahul Solanki presented Medical Oncology treatments and an overview of Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy (PRRT)
  • Drs Chad Han and Ria Joseph discussed the AUS-NET Study, nutrition and the microbiome study highlighting future areas of study and treatment
  • Jess Mercurio Nuclear Medicine Therapy Nurse at Queen Elizabeth Hospital spoke about The Role of PROMs in PRRT for Neuroendocrine Tumours – Enhancing Patient-Centred Care in Nuclear Medicine
  • Meredith Cummins CEO NECA provided an overview of NETs and the services NECA provides to patients, families and healthcare professionals.

Following the presentations there was a Q&A session which enabled the audience to ask general questions and also interact with the speakers.

A special thank you to our incredible patients and families who attended and supported the event. Your presence and participation make these forums so meaningful.
