Neuroendocrine Cancer Day on Sunday, November 10th saw incredible engagement, as the NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) community came together to raise awareness, share stories, and generate vital support for those impacted by this often-overlooked form of cancer.
But awareness efforts don’t need to stop there. This November, we’re encouraging you to continue raising awareness of neuroendocrine cancer and its symptoms.
Key Highlights from Neuroendocrine Cancer Day:
Below is a snapshot of the incredible impact our community has made so far. And the numbers are still growing…
Widespread Reach
NECA’s message resonated powerfully across social media, reaching 16,000 accounts around Australia and gaining 14,000 impressions.
Community Driven Events
The NECA community hosted 11 events across Australia, from local fundraisers to informative gatherings. Thank you to each and everyone of you!
Critical Funds Raised
An incredible $14,000 was raised, supporting the continued development of essential resources for the neuroendocrine cancer community.
International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance (INCA) again drove the global NET Cancer Day campaign, creating important digital assets and posters in multiple languages to help raise awareness of neuroendocrine cancer worldwide. This years campaign continued to garner impression numbers online, reaching over 35 million people, in 14 different languages around the world.
A special thanks goes out to NECA Ambassador, Michael Usher and every community member who shared their story, hosted events, or helped amplify awareness around NETs. Your efforts are helping to ensure that neuroendocrine cancer and its impacts are recognised, and that vital resources are available for patients and their families.
Awareness Doesn't Stop in November.
While Neuroendocrine Cancer Day has passed, we encourage everyone to continue raising awareness throughout November. By educating others on the symptoms and sharing information, you can help individuals seek timely diagnosis and support.
If you or someone you know experiences these symptoms, consider discussing neuroendocrine cancer with a healthcare professional.
