Perth NET Patient Forum 2026

On Monday 15 June, NECA held its Perth NET Patient Forum at Fiona Stanley Hospital, welcoming over 40 patients, carers, families and friends for an informative evening with a fantastic line-up of specialist speakers.

The evening covered some of the topics that matter most to the NET community.

  • Dr Peter Dias opened the forum and provided an excellent explanation of the heart and the impact of Carcinoid Heart Disease highlighting the importance of regular review of the hearts functioning
  • Dr Aviral Singh gave an overview of PRRT (Peptide Receptor Radionuclide Therapy) and radiopharmaceuticals for future use.
  • Dr Chris Lomma then spoke to new and emerging treatments, including Cabozantinib, offering attendees a valuable window into the evolving treatment landscape.
  • Dr Piyush Grover outlined current clinical trial opportunities available to patients.

The clinical presentations were complemented by an overview of NECA’s services, advocacy and resources. A lively Q&A gave attendees the chance to put their questions directly to the panel, rounding out a really valuable evening for the WA community.
