Planning for the Future at NECA Strategy Day 2026

The NECA team recently came together in Sydney for our annual Strategy Day, with staff, Board representatives and members of the Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) flying in from across Australia to collaborate and plan for the future. Despite a rocky start to the morning with delayed and cancelled flights, everyone made it together for a productive and energising day focused on all things NECA.

The day included presentations and discussions across Fundraising and Partnerships, External Affairs, Specialist Support Services, Research, Digital and Social, with valuable insights and contributions shared across all areas of the organisation.

Together, we reflected on the successes and achievements of the past 12 months, discussed upcoming priorities, and explored new ideas for strengthening patient engagement, including future planning for March4NETs and identifying the types of resources and support our community would find most valuable.

We also spent time focusing on the bigger picture, mapping out NECA’s goals and vision for the next three years. Most importantly, everyone left the day feeling refreshed, motivated and energised to continue delivering leading support, advocacy and care for Australians impacted by neuroendocrine cancer.
