UF welcomes NET Patient Support Nurse Kate Wakelin

Sadly at the end of August our Specialist NET Nurse Dale Long, who has worked with the Unicorn Foundation since February 2014, had to resign from her position for personal reasons. Although big shoes to fill we are excited to announce the employment of Kate Wakelin to the role.

Kate WakelinwebThe Unicorn Foundation and Kate first worked together back in 2012 on the first NET patient webinar. Kate was working at the Cancer Council Victoria and left her mark as caring and highly professional . Kate is a perfect fit for the role of NET patient Support Nurse with her years of experience heading up the telephone and online support services at the Cancer Council and more recently in her work as an oncology nurse at Waringal Private Hospital in Melbourne.

Please welcome Kate to the role and we look forward to gaining from her knowledge and experience especially in the optimal care of our NET patients.
