NETRF announces US$2.5 million in research funds

Eight new grants in NET research just announced by INCA member NETRF (Neuroendocrine Tumor Reserach Foundation) will fund research in the US, Canada and the Netherlands to pursue exciting techniques and technologies to help all NET patients.

With this newest round of funding, NETRF has expanded its portfolio to include research into lung neuroendocrine tumors, which affect about one in four NET patients.

George Fisher, MD, PhD, co-chair, NETRF Board of Scientific Advisors reported “Neuroendocrine tumor is a neglected tumor type that doesn’t get its due funding from the National Cancer Institute and other organizations”
