NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) is proud to recognise the advocacy efforts of NET patient Chris Geljon, who has taken the time to raise awareness of neuroendocrine cancer in his local community of Ballarat.
Since being diagnosed, Chris has made it his mission to ensure more people understand what NETs are, how they affect Australians, and why earlier diagnosis and better treatment options matter. After meeting with his local MP Chris has now taken part in newspaper and radio interviews on both 3BA Ballarat and ABC Central Victoria.

Through his story, Chris has raised awareness of NETs in his local community and beyond, encouraging others to speak up, ask questions, and seek support.
“Telling my story has been a way to take something difficult and turn it into something positive. If I can help even one person get diagnosed earlier or feel less alone, it’s worth it,” said Chris.
