Wagga Wagga Patient NET Forum

  • March 3, 2020

On Thursday 13 February we held the first NET patient forum for the year in the Wagga Wagga region (Murrumbidgee Local Health District).

We had an excellent response with 30 patients and carers attending at the Townhouse.

This afternoon was hugely interactive with presentations by Dr David Chan (Medical Oncologist – Royal North Shore Hospital), Katie Golden who shared her cancer story and Meredith Cummins (UF Project Officer).

The audience was thrilled to have this education brought to them and it highlighted the isolation that regional patients can experience.

Many were very keen to join the Facebook Closed Groups and a large group voiced their desire to start a support group in the Wagga Wagga area.

We look forward to hosting additional patient forums throughout the year. Stay tuned for more details.
