In recognition of Neuroendocrine Cancer Day, NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) was invited to speak at Ipsen’s Lunch and Learn event. The session brought together Ipsen team members for an engaging and educational discussion led by Kahlia Wolsley, Nurse Educator and Project Officer at NECA, and Meredith Cummins, NECA’s Chief Executive Officer. Together, they shared valuable insights into neuroendocrine cancers (NETs), a complex and often misunderstood cancers that affects more than 31,000 Australians. The presentation highlighted the significant delays many patients face, with diagnosis often taking up to five years, by which time many are diagnosed with Stage IV disease. Ipsen proudly stands with NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia in raising awareness and promoting early detection and better understanding of neuroendocrine cancers. As the seventh most common cancer in Australia, NETs remain a critical focus for both awareness and research efforts. Events like Ipsen’s Lunch and Learn play an important role in education, fostering collaboration, and amplifying the voices of those living with neuroendocrine cancer.
