National Symptom Awareness Campaign

NECA launches its first National Awareness Campaign

We are thrilled to have launched the National Awareness Campaign this month, with thanks to the Department of Health for their one-off federal grant. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of NETs symptoms amongst the general public and healthcare professionals, to lead to more timely diagnosis and better outcomes for NET patients in the future.

The ‘Camouflage Campaign’ is rolling out now across all social media platforms from this month, highlighting the vague symptoms that NET patients can experience and urging the general public and healthcare professionals to consider the grey area, and screen for NETs.

This 10-month campaign will also feature video interviews with a number of our patients and clinicians in the hopes of improving symptom awareness and turning neuroendocrine cancer into a household name.

Special thanks to our patients, Jamie Kernaghan and Birgette Sorensen, and medical professionals, Prof. Gabrielle Cehic AM and our CEO, Meredith Cummins, who have featured in our first series of videos. You can view all videos HERE.

Over the coming months, we will provide you with more content as it comes to hand.
