NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) is committed to supporting not only people living with neuroendocrine cancer, but also their families and carers.
We have expanded our Telehealth Specialist Support Services to include Counselling, working alongside and complementing our NET Nurse Service.
This specialist service is available via telephone or virtual consultations using Microsoft Teams, making support accessible wherever you are.
Our counselling service provides compassionate emotional and psychological support for everyone affected by neuroendocrine cancer – including patients, family members and carers – offering a safe space to talk, process your experience, and feel supported at any stage of your journey.
How to Schedule an Appointment
To schedule an appointment with our Counsellor
- Contact the NET Nurse: Reach out to our NET Nurse team via phone or email to discuss your needs and determine the best service for you.
- Select a Service: Let our nurse know whether you need general, counselling or dietary advice.
- Choose Your Preferred Date: After a few screening questions our team will work with you to find a convenient time for your consultation.
- Confirm Your Appointment: Receive confirmation and any necessary instructions for your telehealth session.

Meet Amanda – Our Counsellor
Amanda is a registered counsellor with a deep commitment to supporting the NET community. As a NET patient herself, Amanda offers a unique understanding of the challenges faced by those with neuroendocrine cancer.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and a Masters in Counselling from the University of Queensland.
Amanda is available for consultations every Monday and Tuesday.
