Adrenocortical Carcinoma

Overview

Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) often known simply as adrenal cancer, this Neuroendocrine Cancer affects one to two people per million per year, which means it is very rare. ACC occurs in the outer part (cortex) of the adrenal gland. In adults, it most commonly occurs in middle age. 

The disease may be less aggressive in children, who have different treatment from adults.
