NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) is very pleased to announce the return of our face-to-face NET Patient Education Forums. This is a wonderful opportunity to ask “Our Expert NET Clinicians” questions and gain information on current treatments and Clinical Trials.

Dr Mark Nalder
(Medical Oncologist RBWH)
Dr Mark Nalder is currently a Medical Oncologist at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH). He also has private practice at North-West Private Hospital in Everton Park.
He has a strong interest in neuroendocrine tumours and is regularly involved in the neuroendocrine MDT at RBWH. He has a strong research interest, currently undertaking a PhD through the University of Queensland and has previously published the results of PRRT Lutate therapy in patients with neuroendocrine tumours in Queensland.
Associate Professor David Pattison
(Nuclear Medicine Physician and Endocrinologist RBWH)
David underwent dual specialty training in both Endocrinology and Nuclear Medicine at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Austin Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.
He was appointed a staff specialist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre at the completion of his training and moved to Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital in 2016 where he is currently the Deputy Director of Department of Nuclear Medicine & Specialised PET Services, nuclear medicine lead for the RBWH radionuclide therapy service and supervises postgraduate students at University of Queensland.
His research interests are at the intersection of nuclear medicine & endocrinology – neuroendocrine tumours & thyroid cancer – and prostate cancer theranostics. He has been a chief investigator on several large competitive grants for theranostics and was the Course Convenor for the inaugural AANMS Theranostics Course held in Brisbane in August 2022.”

Dr Amanda Love
(Endocrinologist RBWH)
Dr Amanda Love is an Endocrinologist at the Royal Brisbane
and Women’s Hospital.
She has
a particular interest in Endocrine Oncology and has served as the
Endocrinologist on the RBWH Neuroendocrine Tumour Multidisciplinary Team
Meeting for over 10 years.
Her patients include those with endocrine
sequelae of previous cancer treatments, secretory syndromes in patients with
Neuroendocrine tumours, and a large proportion of patients with inherited
phaeochromocytoma / paraganglioma syndromes.
Meredith Cummins
(NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia)
Meredith is a highly driven and dedicated health professional who thrives on delivering world class care to cancer patients and enhancing the skills of other health professionals to deliver this care. She has been involved in Oncology for the past 30 years in metropolitan, rural, international, public and private settings. In the past 15 years she has been a key player instrumental in the commissioning and establishment of four private cancer care facilities in New South Wales.
Meredith has a wealth of experience in comprehensive cancer care, accreditation and licensing processes, governance (Board of Directors and Medical Advisory Committees), quality management systems, fundraising, liaison with Pharmaceutical companies and Philanthropic groups and all aspects of practice management. She enjoys creating and developing dynamic teams so that cancer patients can benefit from Best Practice care and health professionals can develop skills and enhance their career pathways.
Since commencing with NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia, Meredith has coordinated many of our forums, been fundamental in the development of PlaNET Patient App and developed our fully accredited GP and Nurse Education Program.
Meredith has a passion for developing and delivering world class cancer care to neuroendocrine patients across Australia.
