A Guide to Best Cancer Care for NET Patients, Carers & Families

Being diagnosed with NETs can be scary and many patients have spoken about the initial feelings of overwhelm that come with a cancer diagnosis. The Guide to Best Cancer Care has been designed to help alleviate some of the initial questions you may have and can assist you and your loved ones in understanding the care you should expect at every step – from your NETs diagnosis to treatment and beyond.

The Guide to Best Cancer Care has simplified the Optimal Care Pathway and covers specific items like the timeframes to expect tests, what might happen at different steps within your NET journey and questions to ask your treatment team to ensure the best care you can get.

The Guide to Best Cancer Care aims to:

  • Help people with cancer understand the optimal cancer care that should be provided throughout their experience – carers, families and friends may also find the guide helpful
  • Support people with cancer to understand what might happen at each step of their cancer experience and consider what questions to ask by including optimal timeframes within which tests or procedures should be completed and prompt lists
  • Provide information to help people with cancer and carers communicate with health professionals
