Dr Tomasz Block
(Endocrinology Advanced Trainee)
Dr Tomasz Block, BBiomedSc, BSc(Hons), MBBS, is a second year Endocrinology Advanced Trainee based at the Royal Hobart Hospital and Adjunct Research Associate in the Monash University Department of Diabetes in Melbourne.
He regularly manages patients in the Endocrine Neoplasia Clinic alongside Professor John Burgess at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
His research interests include novel therapies targeting diabetic cardiovascular and renal disease, obesity management, and metabolic bone disease.
In addition to having published articles in these areas, he has received several national and international research presentation awards, including the Australian Diabetes Society Best Clinical Presentation Award in memory of Dr Paul Lee in 2022.
He is also the recipient of a Heart Foundation Vanguard Grant and remains a chief investigator of a prospective clinical pilot study exploring the utility of a prognostic biomarker for oxidative stress in patients with diabetic cardiovascular disease.
Tomasz intends to commence a PhD next year, relentlessly striving towards his future aspiration as a clinician researcher.

Meredith is a highly driven and dedicated health professional who thrives on delivering world class care to cancer patients and enhancing the skills of other health professionals to deliver this care. She has been involved in Oncology for the past 30 years in metropolitan, rural, international, public and private settings. In the past 15 years she has been a key player instrumental in the commissioning and establishment of four private cancer care facilities in New South Wales.
Meredith has a wealth of experience in comprehensive cancer care, accreditation and licensing processes, governance (Board of Directors and Medical Advisory Committees), quality management systems, fundraising, liaison with Pharmaceutical companies and Philanthropic groups and all aspects of practice management. She enjoys creating and developing dynamic teams so that cancer patients can benefit from Best Practice care and health professionals can develop skills and enhance their career pathways.
Since commencing with NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia, Meredith has coordinated many of our forums, been fundamental in the development of PlaNET Patient App and developed our fully accredited GP and Nurse Education Program.
Meredith has a passion for developing and delivering world class cancer care to neuroendocrine patients across Australia.
