CNSA Annual Congress

CNSA Annual Congress 17–19 June 2026

NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) nurses Meredith Cummins, Kahlia Wolsley, Tammy Hagan, and Isobel Gower attended the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia (CNSA) Annual Congress held from 17th – 19th June 2026. The Congress is a national event for cancer nurses, researchers, educators, and leaders in cancer care, bringing together professionals from across Australia to connect, share knowledge, and advance cancer nursing practice. This year there were over 680 attendees from all over Australia.

This year’s theme, “Elevate Cancer Nursing: Innovate. Integrate. Educate. Advocate.”, highlighted the critical role nurses play in driving change, translating evidence into practice, strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration, and championing equity in cancer care.

NECA presented a poster titled “Nurses Educating Nurses – Will Norman Nurse Webinar on Neuroendocrine Cancer” and delivered an oral presentation during the concurrent session on Leadership and Equity, titled “Flip the Script – When the Person with Cancer is Educating Health Care Professionals: We Have Much to Learn.” We are grateful to those who contributed their stories and quotes, which added valuable context to these initiatives and presentations.

The Congress provided an excellent opportunity for networking, collaboration, raising awareness and sharing resources and knowledge relating to neuroendocrine cancers (NETs), reinforcing NECA’s commitment to education, support, awareness, advocacy, and advancing best practice in NET care.
