PC4 Conference

  • May 24, 2021

PC4 Scientific Symposium was held at Melbourne Convention Centre 24 May 2021 and was a great success with speakers and guests from all over Australia, both face to face and hybrid.

The day showcased innovation in Shaping Optimal Care Pathways around Australia and gave the chance for various health care professionals, researchers and consumers to engage in meaningful conversations. Meredith, Simone and Kate submitted an abstract which was selected for Poster Presentation –
“Building the Evidence for a National Optimal Cancer Care Pathway for Neuroendocrine Tumours”

In the afternoon there was a “fireside” panel discussion involving healthcare professionals and consumers. Issues such as funding, uptake, implementation and compliance of programs and pathways were considered and discussed. The conference was a wonderful networking event and NECA was able to explore collaborative projects and plan for future ventures to improve the care of NET patients and awareness with Healthcare Professionals.

Special thanks to the organising and scientific committee including Prof Jon Emery, Ray Chan and Dr Kristi Milley who did a wonderful job in bringing it all together.

Be sure to press ‘play’ to hear Merediths overview.
