Unicorn Foundation are presenting at the 15th
annual European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETs) meeting in Barcelona.
CEO Simone Leyden, NET Nurse Kate Wakelin and NET patient
and CAG member Katie Golden are heading off to the 15th ENETs
meeting next week. It will be an action packed week starting with the 2 day
International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance (INCA) patient summit convened by
current President Simone Leyden, Executive Director Teodora Kolarova and the
INCA board.
INCA is made up of 20 member organisations across 17 countries, and
we are proud of the progress made over the years to work as a global voice for
NET Cancer Patients. As part of the summit a “Charter for Action” will be
agreed upon by the members, based on the identified global unmet needs of NET
patients. We look forward to driving these forward in 2018 and beyond knowing that collaboration between medical societies and patients is vital to the success of
these goals.
We are also looking forward to the 2nd INCA/ENETs
symposium which see Simone present a wrap up of World NET Cancer Day from
2017 and plans for 2018. Kate Wakelin will also be presenting as part
of Information to Patients: Critical Elements From the Nurse
Specialists' and Patients' Perspective. The full program can be found
here.
