Our current patient to nurse ratio is unsustainable. We aim to push through these challenging times and raise $120,000 for additional NET tele-health nurses.
Ideally, we would like to see at least one NECA specialist NET tele-health nurses in every state and territory of Australia. Until we are able to secure this funding, our current resources are stretched and unsustainable. We urge you to donate today so we can recruit additional NET tele-health nurses.
What would additional NET tele-health nurses mean to our patients?
- More patients supported each month.
- More support and collaboration with support groups.
- Decrease our response time from 48 hours to 24 hours.
Over the past 16 months, COVID has forced border closures, social distancing and support groups to resort to Zoom. Many patients were unable to have family and friends visit their homes for months on end. Our NET nurse calls are longer and our resources are stretched beyond capacity. Although we face tough times ahead, as an organisation we have always been able to perform on the “smell of an oily rag”, and with your help this will continue. Our patients need over the phone and online NET Nurse support more often, more in depth, more than ever.
Every dollar donated to this page will help fund additional NET tele-health nurses.
